ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Baden-Powell's unilens

Okay, so imagine you have two eyes, right? And when you look at something, your eyes see slightly different things, but your brain puts it all together so you can see one clear image.

Baden-Powell's Unilens is kinda like that, but for cameras. Instead of two lenses, it only has one. But! It's a special lens that can capture different parts of the image and then put it all together to make one super clear picture.

It works by using a little thing called a prism. The prism splits the light coming through the lens into different parts, and then each part gets focused on a different part of the camera sensor. Then, software in the camera takes all those different parts and combines them into one sharp image.

So basically, it's like having two cameras in one, but with only one lens. Cool, right?
