ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bandwidth management

Imagine you have a big bag of marbles. These marbles need to go through a small door to get into a room. However, the door can only let a certain number of marbles through at a time. If you try to put too many marbles through the door, they'll get stuck and won't make it into the room. In the same way, a network has a limited amount of space to let data through, called bandwidth. If too much data tries to go through the network at once, some of it can get delayed or lost.

Bandwidth management is like having someone in charge of making sure only the right amount of data goes through the network at a time. They might put a limit on how much data certain people or devices can use at once, or make sure that certain types of data are given priority over others. This helps to keep the network running smoothly and avoid problems like slow internet or dropped connections.
