Banknotes of Scotland

Hello there! Do you know what banknotes are? They are pieces of paper that we use to buy things instead of using coins. In Scotland, they have their own special banknotes that are different from the ones used in other parts of the United Kingdom.

These Scottish banknotes are made by three different banks: the Bank of Scotland, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and Clydesdale Bank. Each of these banks has its own designs for their banknotes, so they look different from each other.

One interesting thing about these Scottish banknotes is that they have pictures of famous Scottish people and landmarks on them. For example, you might see a picture of a famous writer like Robert Burns, or a castle like Edinburgh Castle.

Even though these Scottish banknotes look different from the ones used in other parts of the UK, they are still worth the same amount of money. So if someone gives you a Scottish banknote, you can use it just like any other banknote to buy things.

And that's it! Scottish banknotes are just special pieces of paper that Scottish people use to buy things, and they look different and have pictures of famous Scottish things on them.
