A fusion bomb, also known as a thermonuclear bomb, is an incredibly powerful kind of bomb. It works by joining two kinds of atoms, or pieces of matter, together. This joining, called fusion, creates a huge explosion because it releases a lot of energy. Fusion bombs are very powerful, and when they explode, it is much bigger than a regular atomic bomb.
