Bannu Resolution

The Bannu Resolution was a big meeting of people in 1901 in Bannu (a city in what is now Pakistan), where they decided on some important things. Imagine you and your friends all getting together to make some rules about how you want to play together. That's kind of what happened at the Bannu Resolution meeting, only on a much bigger scale.

At the meeting, leaders from the Pashtun community got together to talk about how they could work together to make their lives better. They agreed that they wanted to unite and have a say in how they were ruled, particularly by the British who were in charge at the time.

The Bannu Resolution said that the Pashtun people had the right to choose their own leaders and make laws for themselves. It also said that the British should respect their way of life and not interfere too much.

So, in short, the Bannu Resolution was a big meeting where people got together to talk about how they wanted to live and be ruled, and agreed on some important things they wanted to achieve for themselves as a community.
