ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bar council

A Bar Council is like a team of people who help make sure that lawyers are following the rules and doing their job properly. Just like how kids have to follow the rules at school, lawyers also have to follow rules when they are working. The Bar Council makes sure that the lawyers are doing things like being honest, representing their clients well, and keeping information secure. They also help train new lawyers so that they can learn how to be good lawyers too. Just like how teachers help kids learn new things at school, the Bar Council helps lawyers learn how to be good at their jobs.
