The Baruch Plan was a plan made in the 1950s. It was a proposal for rules and laws for countries around the world to follow to help stop wars. The idea was that if all countries agreed to follow the rules, then it would be hard for any one country to start a war. The proposal was named after Bernard Baruch, an American businessman and government official who came up with the idea. The goal was for all countries to give up nuclear weapons (bombs that create a huge explosion) if they agreed to follow the rules. Unfortunately, the plan never passed and never went into effect.
