ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Battery electric bus

A battery electric bus is a big vehicle, like the one that takes you to school, but instead of running on diesel or gasoline (the stuff that makes it go), it runs on a big battery.

Just like you need to eat food to have energy, the battery needs to be charged to provide the energy the bus needs to move. The battery is like a very big phone battery that instead of just giving power to a little screen, it gives power to the whole bus. The battery gets charged at a charging station, just like when your parents charge their phone.

Once the battery is fully charged, the bus can start its journey, and it will run until the battery runs out of energy. When that happens, it needs to go back to the charging station to fill up again.

The battery electric bus is good for the environment because it doesn't release any pollution like the buses that run on diesel or gasoline. This means that the air we breathe stays cleaner and healthier for us.

Overall, the battery electric bus helps us move around without causing any harm to our environment, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly solution.
