Battle of Lima Site 85

Battle of LIMA Site 85 was a battle fought between the United States and North Vietnam in the Vietnam War. It happened on May 12th, 1972 and lasted for three days. The U.S. was trying to stop North Vietnam from coming too close to the U.S. base, which was called "LIMA Site 85". North Vietnam sent an army of about 1,500 soldiers to try to take the base, but the U.S. had about 800 soldiers there and managed to fight off the attack. In the end, the U.S. won the battle and stopped the North Vietnamese from coming too close. More than 40 U.S. soldiers died in the battle and more than 100 were injured.
