Battle of Nisibis (217)
So, a long, long time ago, there were two big groups of people who didn't get along - the Romans and the Persians. They had a big argument about who should control a city called Nisibis, which was kinda in the middle of their two countries.
One day, the Roman army and the Persian army met up near Nisibis and they started fighting! It was a big battle and lots of soldiers from both sides got hurt or even died. But finally, after a few days, the Romans won! They were so happy and they even took some of the Persian soldiers as prisoners.
After the battle was over, the Romans got to keep control of Nisibis and the Persians couldn't argue with them anymore. It was a very important victory for the Romans, and it made them feel very proud and strong.
