Battlement

A battlement is like a wall made out of blocks that is used to protect people inside a castle or a fortress. These crenels help the people inside the castle to see outside and attack enemies, while also being protected from incoming attacks. The blocks on top of the crenels are called merlons, and they act as a shield to protect the people inside the castle.
