Bayes factor

Bayes factor is a way to calculate how likely one thing is compared to another. You can think of it like a scale. On one side is the thing that you think is most likely to happen. On the other side is the thing that you think is least likely to happen. The number given by the Bayes factor tells us how much more likely one thing is than another. For example, if the Bayes factor says 6, it means that the thing on the first side is 6 times more likely than the thing on the other side.
