Beaker (archaeology)

Hey there! Do you remember when we played with some cups and bowls during art class? You might have even used a beaker to mix paint or water, right? Well, archaeologists sometimes use a special kind of cup called a beaker too!

But these beakers aren't used for art. In fact, they're actually pretty old - some of them were made thousands of years ago! Archaeologists find these beakers in old burial sites and use them to learn about the people who lived a long time ago.

These beakers are made of different materials like pottery, metal, or even glass and can come in different shapes and sizes. Sometimes, they have decorations on them too! Archaeologists can study these decorations to understand more about how people used to live and what was important to them.

So, in short, beakers in archaeology are like special cups that help scientists learn about the past! Pretty cool, huh?
