ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Beamline

A beamline is like a laser beam in a science experiment. It is a type of special equipment scientists use to focus a beam of particles of light, such as x-rays, into a very narrow beam. This beam is then used to do experiments and observe tiny particles that can't normally be seen with ordinary light. By studying these particles, scientists can learn more about science and make new discoveries.
