Below the belt

When we talk about something being "below the belt," we're usually talking about a private part of our body that's covered by our pants or underwear.

For boys, this includes their penis and testicles, while for girls it includes their vulva and vagina. These parts of our body are considered private because they're used for things like going to the bathroom and sex, which aren't things we usually talk about in public.

It's important to remember that our below the belt parts are just like any other part of our body, and we should always treat them with respect and care. This means keeping them clean and healthy, and only sharing information about them with trusted adults who can help us if we have any problems or questions.

So while it's okay to talk about our below the belt parts with our doctor or caregiver, it's not something we should share with just anyone. And if someone ever tries to touch us in a way that makes us uncomfortable or unsafe, we should always tell a trusted adult right away.
