Benzhuism

Benzhuism is a type of belief system that comes from the country of China. It is a way of praying to the protector god of a particular place, in order to keep the people living there safe and healthy.

Imagine there is a really nice park near your home that you go to all the time. Now, let's pretend that there is a special god who watches over that park and makes sure everything stays ok. This god is called a "benzhu," and in Benzhuism, people pray to that god in order to ask for protection for their park and the people who come to visit it.

People who follow Benzhuism believe that the benzhu god has power over many things, like natural disasters such as floods or earthquakes. Benzhuism followers also believe that if they do something bad, like littering or vandalizing the park, the benzhu will get angry and punish them.

So, Benzhuism is all about respecting and taking care of the places that are special to you by praying to the benzhu god.
