Beta-secretase 2

Okay kiddo, so our body has a lot of different parts called cells. And these cells have instructions on how to work properly, just like how you have instructions for brushing your teeth or tying your shoes.

Now there's a special enzyme in our body called beta-secretase 2. Think of it like a little helper that follows the instructions and helps make sure everything is working the right way.

But sometimes, just like how we can make mistakes when doing things, beta-secretase 2 can make mistakes too. And these mistakes can cause something called Alzheimer's disease, which can make people forget things and have a hard time thinking properly.

So scientists are studying beta-secretase 2 to learn more about how it works and how we can help it not make mistakes. And maybe one day, they'll find a way to cure Alzheimer's disease too!
