Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence

Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence was a speech given by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1967. In this speech, Dr. King wanted to protest the war in Vietnam. He felt very strongly that the United States should not be involved in this war and that it was wrong to send our own people to fight. He also talked about the need for people to stand up together against war and injustice. He wanted people to make their voices heard by speaking out and taking action against war. He was trying to tell everybody that it was important to stand up and make a difference.
