Bible translations into Syriac

Hey kiddo! Do you know what a Bible is? It's a really big book that tells stories and lessons about God and Jesus. But did you know that the Bible wasn't originally written in English? That's right! It was actually written in different languages a long time ago.

One of the languages the Bible was written in is called Syriac. Syriac is a really old language that was used in parts of the Middle East a loooong time ago. People who spoke Syriac wanted to read the Bible in their own language, so they made translations of the Bible from the original languages (like Hebrew and Greek) into Syriac.

These translations were really important because they allowed people who spoke Syriac to read and understand the stories and lessons in the Bible. Different people made different translations of the Bible into Syriac, but some of the most famous ones are the Peshitta and the Syriac Vulgate.

Nowadays, most people don't speak Syriac anymore, so they read the Bible in different languages like English or Spanish. But the Syriac translations of the Bible are still really important for people who study the history of the Bible and the different languages it's been translated into over time!
