ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bibliography of Japanese history

Okay, kiddo, so imagine you went on a big adventure. You saw lots of interesting things and met lots of new people. But when you come back home, your parents want to hear all about it. So you make a list of all the places you went and the people you met, like a map or a journal. This is kind of like a bibliography of your adventure.

Now, historians do the same thing but for a whole country's history. The country we're talking about is called Japan. They explore Japan's past, read books and articles about it, and write down all the important information they find in a long list called a bibliography.

This bibliography lists all the books, articles, and other sources that the historians used to learn and write about Japanese history. It helps other people who are interested in Japanese history to find the same resources and learn more.

When you're older, you might have to write a bibliography for a school project or a research paper, just like historians do. But for now, the important thing to remember is that a bibliography is a big list of all the places and people that someone used to learn and write about a certain topic, like Japanese history.
