Bidder conferences

Bidder conferences are like meetings for people who want to buy something. A company or group (like the government) wants to buy something, like a big machine or a big project, so they invite companies to come and tell them why they should buy it from them. The people who do the buying get to ask questions and hear what all the companies have to say. Then they pick the one they think is the best and they buy it from that company.
