ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Biochip

A biochip is like a small computer that can help scientists and doctors study biological things like cells and DNA. It's usually a tiny square made of special materials that can detect chemicals or tiny particles in our body. It has tiny wires that connect it to a bigger computer so we can see what it finds.

Just like a puzzle-piece, the biochip is designed to fit with specific things in our body, like a certain kind of protein or bacteria. When the biochip finds this thing, it sends a signal to the bigger computer so we know it's there. Scientists and doctors can then use this information to study diseases and find ways to treat them.

It's a really cool tool that helps us understand the human body better and find ways to keep us healthy.
