Biogeology

Okay kiddo, biogeology is all about studying how living organisms, like plants and animals, interact with the earth and everything on it, like rocks, water, and soil.

Scientists who study biogeology want to understand how these living things have shaped the earth over time, and how they continue to do so. They also want to figure out how the earth affects the plants and animals that live on it.

For example, let's say there's a big rock sitting in a field. Over time, wind, rain, and other natural processes will break down that rock into smaller pieces. Eventually, those small pieces will mix with the soil and create a new environment where plants can grow.

Now, let's say some animals start living in that area, like rabbits or mice. They'll start to eat the plants, which will affect how they grow, and they'll also start to burrow into the soil, which will affect how the soil is structured.

All of these things are connected, and scientists who study biogeology look at how all of these different parts of the environment work together to create the world we live in.
