Biomimetic synthesis

Biomimetic synthesis is when scientists try to recreate how a living thing makes something, such as a drug. Scientists look at how a living thing makes a drug and then copy the steps that it takes to make the same drug. Scientists are then able to use the same things (like chemicals and reactions) as the living thing, but in a faster and easier way.
