Biophysical economics is a branch of economics that looks at how natural resources (like air, water, and soil) affect the economy. It also looks at how people use natural resources in their everyday lives. It tries to answer questions like: how do people use natural resources, what effects does this have on the environment, and how can we use natural resources in the most efficient way so that everyone benefits? It looks at the economic and environmental costs and benefits of different decisions we make.
