Black bag operation

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a spy movie where the spy wears a black suit and sneaks around in the dark? Well, sometimes real life people do that too - but they're not really spies. They're usually law enforcement or military personnel who are trying to catch bad guys.

When these people do sneaky things like break into a building, plant a secret recording device, or even take someone away without telling anyone, it's called a "black bag operation." The term comes from the idea that they might carry all of their tools and equipment in a black bag or backpack so no one knows what they're up to.

Now, you might be wondering if black bag operations are legal. The answer is...sometimes. In some cases, like when the police are investigating a serious crime or trying to catch a dangerous criminal, they might get permission from a judge to use these sneaky techniques. But in other cases, like if they're spying on innocent people, it's not allowed.

So, basically, a black bag operation is when some sneaky people do sneaky things to catch bad guys - but only if they have permission from the law.
