Blood transfusion

A blood transfusion is like getting a new, healthy blood supply. It is a medical procedure where healthy blood is given to you through a needle in your arm. The healthy blood comes from someone else, usually a donor. The doctor giving you the transfusion will make sure that your blood type is compatible with the donor's blood type. Then, the doctor will take the donor's blood and mix it with some of your own. Once it is mixed, it is placed into your body through the needle in your arm. After the transfusion, your body has more healthy blood, which helps it work better.
