Blowtorch

Okay, kiddo, have you ever seen a lighter or a matchstick that we use to light candles or a stove? A blowtorch is kind of like that but it’s way bigger and stronger. It can create a very hot flame that can be used for lots of different things.

Blowtorch looks like a long metal stick with a handle at one end and a nozzle at the other. We put gas in the handle part and after we light it, the gas comes out of the nozzle and makes a big fire. It needs to be lighted with a different tool like a lighter or a matchstick, and you need to be very careful when using it.

Blowtorches are used in many different ways. For example, chefs use it for cooking food like caramelizing the sugar on the top of the crème brûlée, melting cheese toppings on steak or toasting marshmallows. Plumbers use it to heat up metal pipes to repair them. People use it for melting metal, removing paint from things or cutting through tough materials like glass.

So, blowtorch is a tool that creates a big and hot flame that can be used for cooking, fixing things and more. It’s important to use it carefully and with adult supervision.
