Boathouse

A boathouse is kind of like a house for boats. Just like how you might have a bedroom in your house for you to sleep in, boats have a boathouse to "rest" in when they're not out in the water.

It's usually a big building near a body of water, like a lake or a river, and it has a special area where boats can be stored safely. The boathouse can also have ramps or cranes to lift the boats out of the water and into the storage area.

Some boathouses are fancy and have living spaces in them for people to stay in while they're boating. Others are just plain buildings used to store boats. Usually, people who own boats will keep their boats in a boathouse to protect them from harsh weather and keep them in good condition.
