Bob Widlar

Bob Widlar was an engineer who helped create the modern computer. He was especially good at designing chips (small, electronic parts) that went inside early computers. He made these chips powerful and reliable so that they could do complex tasks while using very little electricity. This made computers faster and more efficient. Bob's work is still used today in computers, phones and other devices.
