ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bolshevization

Okay, so imagine you have a group of friends who always hang out together and do things together. One day, one of your friends - let's call him Bob - comes up with some new ideas on how you all should play and who should be in charge. Bob convinces some of your other friends that his ideas are really good and they start to follow him instead of the way you all used to play.

This is kind of like bolshevization. It happened in Russia a long time ago. There was a group of people who had been in charge for a long time, but then a new group of people called the Bolsheviks (led by a guy named Lenin) came along with new ideas on how to run things. They convinced a lot of people that their ideas were better and the Bolsheviks ended up taking over and running the country a different way than it was run before.

So basically, bolshevization is when a new group of people with new ideas comes along and takes over from the old group of people who used to be in charge.
