Bombing of Chongqing

During World War II, Japan and China were fighting each other. Japan wanted to take over more land in China, but China didn't want that to happen.

Japan started bombing a city called Chongqing, which was a big city in China. They did this to try and scare the people of China so they would give up the fight.

The bombing of Chongqing was very bad and lots of people were hurt and killed. The bombs exploded and caused fires in many buildings, including homes and hospitals. This made it very hard for people to live in the city because they didn't have safe places to go.

The people of Chongqing were very brave and kept fighting, even though Japan was doing these bad things to them. In the end, China was able to win the war against Japan but it took a lot of hard work, strength, and courage from many people to make it happen.
