ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Boolean algebra (structure)

Boolean algebra is like making sure two things agree. It is like having two cups of cereal, and each one has to have the same amount in it so they are 'equal'. In boolean algebra, we use a system of numbers and symbols to represent 'true' and 'false', so that each cup can be either the same or different. We can also use the symbols to combine two or more statements and make something new. Boolean algebra can help us figure out problems and figure out what should happen next in a computer program.
