Boot money scandal

This is called corruption, and it is not a good thing to do.

The extra money that the politicians got is called boot money, and it was given to them by some other important people who wanted them to make some important decisions that would help these people get more money in the future. But because the politicians did something sneaky with the extra money, they got caught and it became a big scandal.

It is important to be honest and not take extra money that is not meant for you, especially when you have an important job.
