Bottom of the harbour tax avoidance

Bottom of the Harbour tax avoidance is when a company tries to avoid paying taxes by hiding money in offshore (outside their home country) banks. They do this by transferring money to an offshore bank account and not declaring it as income on their tax forms. This means the company does not have to pay taxes on the money they have hidden, which means they save a lot of money.
