Bowfishing

Bowfishing is like fishing with a bow and arrow! Instead of using a fishing rod, you use a special bow that shoots arrows (called bolts) that have sharp points on them.

You also use a special type of fishing line that's thicker and stronger than normal fishing line. It's called a fishing reel and it's attached to the bow so you can pull the fish in once you catch it.

But instead of catching fish in the water with a hook, you shoot the arrow at the fish while it's swimming. You have to aim carefully so you don't miss, and you have to be quick because fish are fast swimmers.

Some people like bowfishing because it's a fun and challenging way to catch fish, and it's also a way to control the population of certain types of fish. But it's important to only bowfish in certain areas where it's legal and safe, and to not waste any of the fish you catch.
