Brake run
A brake run is a part of a roller coaster that helps it slow down or stop at the end of its ride.
Think of a roller coaster like a car that's going really fast. When you want to stop a car, you press the brakes, right? Same thing with a roller coaster!
The brake run is usually a section of the track that has lots of metal fins sticking up. These fins are called "brakes" and they help slow the roller coaster train down.
When the roller coaster gets to the end of the ride, it goes into the brake run. The brakes grab onto the train's wheels and slow it down bit by bit until it comes to a complete stop.
Brake runs are really important because they keep the roller coaster safe. If a roller coaster didn't have brakes to slow it down, it would keep going and going until it crashed into something! No one wants that to happen, right?
