ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Branch dock

Imagine you have a big tree in your backyard, and on that tree there are lots of little branches sticking out. A branch dock is a special kind of platform that people can build on one of those branches to make it easier to climb up the tree and hang out in the branches.

Think of it like a little playground that you can set up in your tree. It's kind of like a tree fort, but instead of building a structure around the trunk of the tree, you build a platform on one of the branches. That way, you can climb up to your little platform and hang out in the tree without having to worry about falling off or getting stuck.

Branch docks can be really fun places to play and explore, but they can also be dangerous if they're not built properly. It's really important to make sure that the branch is strong enough to hold the weight of the platform, and that the platform itself is held securely in place. So if you ever decide to build a branch dock of your own, make sure you have an adult helping you and that you follow all the safety guidelines!
