ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bridge (nautical)

A bridge on a ship is like a special room where the captain can control the ship and make sure other boats don't get in the way. It's usually up high so the captain can see really far away. There are lots of buttons and screens that help the captain see where the ship is going and what's around it. It's like playing a big video game! Sometimes, other important people like navigation officers help the captain on the bridge. They use special tools to make sure the ship stays on the right course and avoid things like rocks or other boats that might get in the way.
