Brigade de cuisine

Okay kiddo, so imagine you're making a cake with all your friends. Everyone has a job to do to help make the cake perfect.

Well, in a fancy restaurant, there is a group of people who work together in the kitchen, called a brigade de cuisine. Just like your friends in the cake baking team, each person in the brigade de cuisine has a job to do to make sure the food is cooked perfectly and served to the customers.

There is a head chef, who is like the leader of the team. They come up with the menu and make sure everyone is doing their job. Then there are chefs who specialize in certain things, like the pastry chef who makes desserts or the saucier who works on sauces.

Everyone has to listen carefully and do their job exactly right, just like how you and your friends have to follow the recipe for the cake. The brigade de cuisine has to work fast and efficiently, just like how you and your friends have to be quick when making the cake before it gets too late!

And just like how you all taste the cake to make sure it's delicious, the brigade de cuisine tastes their food too to make sure it's perfect for the customers who come to the restaurant.
