Brihadratha

Hey little one, have you ever heard of a king called Brihadratha? He was a very important person in ancient India a long time ago.

Brihadratha was a king who ruled over a place called Magadha. He was born into a royal family, which means he was born to be a king. His father was also a king before him, and they ruled over Magadha for a long time.

Now, something really sad happened to Brihadratha when he was a baby. His mother passed away when giving birth to him. This was really tough on his father, and it's said that he died of a broken heart not much later.

Since Brihadratha was only a baby, he had to be taken care of by the people who worked in the palace. They treated him very kindly and made sure he grew up healthy and strong. When he was old enough, he became the king of Magadha just like his dad and granddad before him.

However, Brihadratha had a big problem. He really wanted to have children of his own, but he couldn't. It was a very difficult time for him because having children was very important for kings back then.

Finally, after a lot of waiting and praying, Brihadratha had a son! It was the happiest day of his life and he named his son after his own father. He loved his little boy so much and was always very proud of him.

But sadly, something terrible happened to Brihadratha. One day, when he was out hunting in the forest, he was attacked by a group of enemies. They were really angry at him because they hated the Magadha kingdom.

They hurt Brihadratha so badly that he couldn't survive. He died in the forest all alone, and his body was never found. This was a very sad ending for a great king like him.

But here's something interesting, Brihadratha's son, who he loved so much, became the next king of Magadha after him. He was a very successful king and did many great things for his kingdom. So even though Brihadratha couldn't be around to see it, his legacy lived on through his son.
