ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Brodmann area

Okay, so Brodmann areas are like different parts of the brain that do different jobs. Just like how we have different rooms in a house for different things, our brain has different areas for different jobs too.

It's like playing a game of "Where's Waldo?" but instead of looking for Waldo, we're looking for different parts of the brain. Scientists have named different parts of the brain after a man named Korbinian Brodmann, who studied and mapped out the different areas of the brain.

Each Brodmann area is like a special room with its own furniture and toys. Some rooms help us see things or hear things, while others help us move our body or think really hard about math problems.

By studying these different areas of the brain and what they do, scientists can learn more about how the brain works and how to treat different brain problems.

So, think of the brain like a big house with lots of rooms and each Brodmann area is like a special room with its own job.
