Brown sugar

Brown sugar is like a big, sweet hug that you give to your favorite treats like cookies or muffins. It is made from plain, white granulated sugar that has a special ingredient added to it, which is molasses.

Molasses is a dark, thick, and sticky liquid that is made from boiling sugarcane juice. It has this lovely, rich, and caramel-like flavor that gives brown sugar its distinct taste. When molasses is added to white sugar, it transforms into brown sugar!

Because brown sugar has molasses, it is also a bit more moist and sticky compared to regular sugar. You might even notice that it clumps together more easily. This makes brown sugar great for baking because it makes your treats soft, chewy, and flavorful.

So, when you want to add a little sweetness to your food, brown sugar is a sweet and cozy choice!
