Coconut sugar

Coconut sugar is a sweetener made from the sap of coconut palm trees. Coconut palm trees grow in warm places like tropical islands.

To make coconut sugar, people climb up the tree and cut the flower buds. These buds are the parts where the sap comes out. They collect the sap in a container and boil it until it becomes a thick and sticky paste.

After that, they let it cool down and it hardens into small granules that look like brown sugar.

Coconut sugar is a healthier alternative to regular sugar because it has vitamins and minerals that are good for the body. Plus, it has a low glycemic index which means it won't make your blood sugar level go up too quickly.

You can use coconut sugar in recipes that call for regular sugar, like in baking cakes or making cookies. However, since it has a different taste, it might change the flavor of your food a little bit.
