Bulk leach extractable gold

Okay kiddo, so you know how people like gold because it's really valuable and shiny? Well, sometimes we don't find gold just sitting on the surface of the ground, we have to dig for it.

In those cases, we use something called "bulk leach extractable gold" to help us find the gold. Basically, scientists and miners take a big sample of soil or rock from the area they want to explore for gold. Then, they put that sample in a big container with some special liquids that help them extract any gold particles that might be hidden in the dirt.

The liquids they use are called "leaching solutions." They're kind of like soap or detergent in that they can dissolve other substances, like gold. So when we put the dirt sample in the container with the leaching solution, the solution will dissolve any gold particles that are in there.

After a while, the scientists and miners can test the liquid to see if it has any gold in it. If it does, they know that the soil or rock they took the sample from has some gold in it, too.

This technique helps us figure out where to look for gold in areas that might not have visible gold deposits. It's like solving a treasure hunt puzzle, where we use science to help us find the hidden treasure.
