ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Burmese language

Okay kiddo, do you know how there are different languages that people speak all around the world? Well, Burmese is one of those languages that people speak in a country called Myanmar.

Now, Burmese might sound strange to you because it has a lot of different sounds and letters than English. Instead of just 26 letters, like we use in the English alphabet, Burmese has 33 letters in its own special alphabet. And sometimes, those letters might look like squiggly lines!

In Burmese, just like in English, there are also different words for things. But here's where it gets a little tricky: instead of putting spaces between words, Burmese puts little dots or circles in between them. It's kind of like a secret code!

If you were to hear someone speaking Burmese, it might sound really fast and hard to understand at first. But don't worry, with practice, you'll be able to understand and even speak a little bit of it yourself!
