Burning off

When we say "burning off," it means getting rid of something by setting it on fire. Just like how we burn wood in a fireplace to keep warm, sometimes people burn things that they don't want anymore, like extra grass, leaves, or even trash. But, burning off can be dangerous and harmful because it can release smoke and pollutants into the air that can hurt our health and the environment. So, it's important to always follow safety regulations and consider other ways to get rid of things, like composting or recycling.
