ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bus conductor

Okay kiddo, have you ever been on a bus before? Great! When you get on a bus, there is someone there who helps you pay and find your seat. That person is called the bus conductor.

The conductor's job is to help everyone get on and off the bus safely. They also collect money from people buying tickets or swipe their bus cards to pay for the ride. Then they give you a ticket which shows you have paid for the ride. This helps the driver know who has already paid and who hasn't.

When the bus is moving, the conductor walks up and down the aisle of the bus, checking to make sure everyone is okay and helping people who need it. They also keep a look out for anyone causing trouble or being mean to others on the bus.

Overall, the conductor's job is to make sure that the bus ride goes smoothly and everyone stays safe. Pretty important job, right?
