A computer is a machine which can do lots of different things with numbers and information. It can store information like the things you type into it, the games you play on it, the websites you look at, and even pictures and videos that you save on it. It can also do things with that information, like calculating numbers, finding information on the internet, sending emails, or playing games. A computer works by taking in information, following directions you give it, and then giving you an answer or a result.
