ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bus priority

Bus Priority means that when the bus is on the road, the bus is given extra special attention so that it can move quickly and not get stuck in traffic. This could be done by allowing the bus to have its own 'lane' on the street, so that other cars have to wait while the bus moves by, or by having special traffic signals that give the bus priority - meaning they will change straight away when the bus approaches rather than making the bus wait. Giving buses priority helps people get to their destinations quickly and makes public transport a more attractive way to travel.
